RETIRING OLD ELEPHANTS

Dok Maak Loong Sap

Youee ChongKo

Gatin Pisamy

PupPhueng
The oldest elephant at the Kraal is Youee. She is over 80 years old. Dok Mak is 78 years old. She hasn't been working for a while now but she has a great personality and likes to be pampered. She is waiting for you to come and give her special attention and treats. She loves to play in the river too. Roongsap is about 65 years of age, an ex logging elephant that needs alot of love due to her hard life before she came to us. Come and stay and make a difference to these elephants and more. Everyday you will discover new things about your elephant because you get to spend heaps of time with them.
Dok Mak, like all our project elephants, has worked all her life. She holds a special place in the hearts of the owners and although she has been retired for a couple of years, she still needs alot of attention. It is our purpose to retire as many elephants as we can from all over Thailand. However because it is so expensive to keep an elephant they still need to earn an income. The more people who come and enjoy Elephantstay, the more elephants we can buy that deserve retirement in their old age. You can be assured that you will be saving elephants from having to work until they die. This is an economic issue that cannot be redressed without your help.

Dok Maak, Loong Sap flirting with Plai Gaoew at the farm. Not too old to flirt!

Dok Maak loves the little babies and they love her, having an afternoon nap with Soiselee

The elephants like to go out for grass and hang out grazing.
